Member Career Grants
Member Career Grant - $1,000
CSEA’s Member Career Grant applications will be available starting in June and is due October 31 each year. Thirty-two $1,000 awards will be granted based on a combination of financial need, goals and objectives, citizenship and leadership, as well as CSEA activities. Applicants for the grant must be CSEA members in good standing and enrolled either part- or full-time in an accredited school of higher education, including community college, four-year colleges and universities, and/or trade or vocational schools either at the time the application is submitted or planning to enroll in the term immediately following receipt of the grant award.
If you are attending the CSEA no-cost college program, apply for a Member Reimbursement Subsidy, if needed, rather than a Member Career Grant.
Member Reimbursement Subsidy - Up to $250
In addition, CSEA offers a Member Reimbursement Subsidy program that provides grants up to $250 to financially assist members with opportunities that connect them to the union, community, and/or to students. Examples of the types of assistance provided include attendance at the CSEA Paraeducator Conference, CSEA Maintenance and Operations Academy, citizenship fees, computer purchases for attending the free college program online, obtaining a GED, or other college or vocational courses and programs.
